Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Qibla Compass & Prayer Streak ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Android application. The App provides Qibla direction, accurate prayer times, Azan notifications, prayer streaks, Tasbih counter, Allah's 99 Names (Asma ul-Husna), Islamic calendar, and a home screen widget. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

• Location data — Your device's GPS location is used solely to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for your area. Location is not stored on our servers and is never shared with third parties by us.
• Prayer history — Records of which prayers you have marked as completed are stored locally on your device only using an on-device database. This data never leaves your device.
• Prayer streak data — Your daily prayer streak count and streak history are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data is never transmitted to any server.
• Tasbih history — Your daily and lifetime dhikr counts are stored locally on your device only and are never shared or transmitted.
• Device identifiers — Google AdMob (our advertising partner) may collect advertising identifiers and device information to serve relevant ads. See the Advertising section below.

How We Use Your Information

• To calculate your local prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha)
• To determine the Qibla direction from your current location
• To send you prayer time notifications and Azan reminders
• To track your prayer streak and completion history locally
• To provide the Tasbih counter with daily and lifetime dhikr history
• To display Allah's 99 Names (Asma ul-Husna) with Arabic, transliteration, and meanings
• To show the Islamic (Hijri) calendar with important Islamic dates
• To display your next prayer time on the home screen widget
• To display advertisements through Google AdMob

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data including your advertising ID, IP address, and device information to show personalised or non-personalised ads.

We have configured AdMob to serve only family-safe (G-rated) content. Adult, gambling, and other inappropriate ad categories are blocked.

Permissions We Request

• Location (Fine & Coarse) — to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction
• Notifications — to send Azan alerts and streak reminders
• Exact Alarms — to deliver prayer notifications at the precise time
• Internet — to load advertisements and maps
• Boot completed / Date & Time changed — to reschedule prayer alarms after device restart or time change
• Foreground Service — to play Azan audio reliably when the app is in the background
• Vibration — for the Tasbih counter haptic feedback

Data Storage & Security

All prayer history, streak data, and Tasbih history are stored locally on your device using Android's Room database and SharedPreferences. We do not operate any servers and do not transmit your personal prayer data anywhere.

Location data is used in real time to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. A copy is cached locally on your device for offline use and is never sent to our servers.

Allah's 99 Names data is bundled within the app and requires no internet connection or data collection to function.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

GDPR — Rights of European Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. For AdMob data, contact Google directly at policies.google.com/privacy.

CCPA — Rights of California Users

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected about you
• Know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information
• Access your personal information
• Equal service and price, even if you exercise your privacy rights
